The ever popular Peter Whitley, plays fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. The Music Man is a fast paced fun musical featuring songs such ‘Seventy Six Trombones’, ‘Shipoopi’, ‘Lida Rose’, ‘Wells Fargo Wagon’ and many more rousing marches, barbershop quartets and sentimental ballads. Add to this an all singing, all dancing ensemble, the Direction of Jay Livingstone, Judith Chapman as Choreographer, John Sandland as MD and you have a fantastically entertaining show!
