Once again KMTC’s pantomime is going to be a treat for the entire family. Written by the kings of panto, Keith Marsden and Geoffrey Rundle, with little bits added by Mark Coulthard, we once again take you to the land of old Peking with a fresh new script and some exciting newcomers to our cast!
This year the pantomime will again be directed by Peter Whitley and Judith Chapman. Judith will also be choreographing the cast of 50 people, and with musical direction from Geoff Garrett – completes the winning team!
Leading the talented company is Fiona Spencer as ‘Aladdin’, as fine a Principal Boy as you could wish to meet. Then, of course, there is her hapless (or is that hopeless?) brother ‘Wishee Washee’ played by James Windle and their mother, everyone’s favourite Dame, ‘Widow Twanky’ played by Dean Harness.
The devilish, villainous ‘Abanazer’ is played by Mark Hutchinson. Helping the story have a magical happy ending are the ‘Slave of The Ring’ played Phoenix Hillier by and ‘The Genie’, Jonny Tate.
The crazy & incompetent ‘Chief of Police’ played by Philip Smith leads the Peking Police, guaranteed to create lots of laughs even if they never solve a crime!
In far away Peking the Royal Family have riches beyond compare. We have the ‘Emperor’ (Mark Brown) assisted by the ‘Grand Vizier’ (Haydn Cavanagh) and the beautiful ‘Princess So-Shi’ played by Stephanie Laycock. Love is in the air when ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Princess So-Shi’ meet but will ‘Abanazar’ foil their plans?
Best of all we once again have a magnificent line-up of amazing dancers and adorable kiddies and a great supporting cast too!
